Meet Dawn
Pinter, program director
for Toddler Time on Main (pictured below)
I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and moved to
North Carolina shortly after I graduated high school to work
at the American Airlines reservations office in Cary where
I met my husband Paul. We’ve
been married for 15 years and live in Angier with our three children:
Holli, 14, Mary, 9, and Holden, 4. After over 16 years of
working nights and weekends, I’m eager
to begin my next new adventure Toddler Time on Main.
I have always enjoyed the toddler years--even
those terrible twos, which my children experienced as the terrible
threes. Something about seeing the world through a toddler’s
eyes holds a special place in my heart; a 1-year-old’s
wondrous exploration, the learning energy of 2-year-olds, a 3-year-old’s
developing sense of humor, and the artistic exploration of 4-year-olds.
I clearly remember the days when I was
home with my toddler-aged daughters, as now with my son, and in need of someone to help so I could visit the doctor,
go grocery shopping, have coffee with friends, complete big
household jobs, or simply enjoy some “me” time. We
accomplish so much more when there are no strollers to fold,
car seats to hook up, tantrums to avoid, or diapers to change.
With the growing number of us choosing to work at home, a few
hours a week when the little ones aren’t around becomes
a necessity. Toddler Time
on Main gives you the time you need with the comfort
of knowing your child is safe, happy, and having fun.
Thirteen+ years as a full-time mom have taught
me a lot. I know a bucket of sand and few cups or a big, empty
box left out to explore can be more entertaining than the most
expensive toys. I know a colorful Band-Aid can work more wonders
than modern science. I know that sometimes a pile of Goldfish
crackers and a juice box are the only things standing between
you and a meltdown. And I know I can provide your child with
a safe and happy place to play which will leave your mind free
to tend to other things.
I look forward to meeting you and your
child. |
